Hotel Guest WiFi: Room Number Login and PMS Integration

October 29, 2026 · TekiEazi

Hotel guests expect WiFi to work everywhere on the property, all the time, and to move between floors and areas without dropping off. They also do not want to type long passwords or buy a code at the front desk. Connecting the WiFi to the hotel's property management system (PMS) removes most of that friction.

Log in with room number and last name

TekiEazi has a proven and tested application programming interface (API) to work with the Atlas and Clarity hotel software and property management systems, which are used by several large hotel chains. With the integration, guests log in to the WiFi with their room number and last name. There is no voucher to hand out, and the WiFi is tied to the guest's stay. Details are on the hotel PMS integration page.

Let guests manage their own devices

Guests usually bring more than one device. TekiEazi includes a guest portal where guests can manage logging their devices on and off.

Keep bandwidth under control

Bandwidth can be expensive, and a hotel that does not have enough of it gives guests a bad WiFi experience. Based on the hotel's WiFi policy, TekiEazi can be configured to limit the number of devices allowed on the WiFi at the same time. This option was requested by a hotel with limited WiFi bandwidth. Bandwidth shaping helps too, and hotels can charge for premium access. Read more about bandwidth management.

Coverage still comes first

Experts agree that one of the biggest problems in hotel WiFi is too few access points. Too few access points leave gaps in coverage and not enough bandwidth for streaming video. A PMS integration makes a good network easier to use, but it does not replace good coverage.

Learn from your guests

The cloud-based management portal shows the marketing information the WiFi collects, such as nationalities and types of devices used. Hotels can use it to improve their services and grow their business. See hotel WiFi management and WiFi marketing.

More than WiFi

Once the WiFi is working well, the same TekiEazi portal can deliver other services to guests, such as entertainment options, room service and ordering from local restaurants. To discuss your hotel, contact us or read the FAQ.
